I wanted to be more creative but I'm lazy and stupid. I think I'd always try stuff and give up easily. I'm mostly good at watching TV and that's about it. Even video games are too difficult for me now.

I don't think it's just about social isolation. The problem is that I don't have any real challenges that I feel good about when I work towards overcoming them. For example school. I was actually a huge video game nerd when I was a good student but the moments when I stopped trying, they coincided with moments of general lethargy where I couldn't even really play games.

Now the bigger problem is that the lack of social success means I don't have a deeper connection to the work I'm doing. If you're constantly afraid of people, you don't build connections, which in turn screws with your desire to challenge yourself which in turn messes up your desire to enjoy things you might find fun but challenging. Also, lots of rewards in life are based in social situations so if you're socially slow and afraid you will not find yourself seeking challenges.
