Now coming to the issue, i believe everyone feels sleepy when it comes to cruising on a highway (assuming you were doing this). Riding on the highway is a monotonous activity with little to no variation, the markers on the road induce hypnosis, along with many other results.

I always open up my visor whenever I am feeling a little sleepy or tired, trying doing high revs, basically breaking the monotony. And if nothing works, I stop, wash my face, drinking a chai/coffee and hit the road again.

It might be possible that your helmet isn't that great at ventilation or you might be tying up your chin strap tighter than necessary.

Felt the same on my last trip to Fatehpur Sikri from Delhi, thankfully I stopped to have a break.
I found mainly 2 reasons for it. First is if the road is empty, the ride sometimes become monotonous and the rider starts feeling sleepy.

Second is due to wind blast proof Helmets, you again start feeling monotonous with no action and feel sleepy.


Key is to have a good sleep last night and take regular breaks and be hydrated.
