Here's my experience on the platforms. But before I share, what one needs to understand is the algorithm of these platforms. I did a lot of research on this and spoke to many including the brand managers of some of these as I work in marketing.

They basically optimise the visibility of your profile basis age, gender, location, marital status and other parameters and matchmaking algorithm.


Part A of what I said includes

Consider it like for example, a 18 yr young woman and man are the ideal candidate with them being just fresh out of college in their first jobs and with some interesting hobbies.

The further you are from this ideal stereotype the lower you'll be ranked so to speak.

Part B is basis the matches you get. The higher your match count the higher your profile shows up.


So since mumbai women , wouldn't typically be dating as far as varanasi, by way of location assumption, if there's likely any mention of varanasi, your profile might rank lower to Mumbai women.

Also what makes a difference is what's on your bio to a large degree :)


As for my personal experience Now , out of the lot

Tinder- by far the worse. Loaded with pretentious people, scams, catfish and just the absolute worse. And I mean wrt clarity of the service from the platform. Tinder is the antithesis to a dating app. Reminds me of early internet days yelp and Locanto and scammy platforms like that.


Bumble - marginally better. But has all better quality checks on profiles and better ways to engage and connect..

Hinge - by far the best imo. You actually find real people there.

Aisle- was too new when I tried it.
