lets say there's an x job with 1 vacancy, there are atleast more than 500 people trying to apply for it. So these 500 people atleast 10 of them will be over qualified for the job and that 1 single person is going to have extra skills that the company needs but are not willing to pay for it(as a full time) because it'll require them to spend more money this is where that 1 person is going to become their work horse/donkey(that is whats happening these days everywhere). Now depending on the country and it's work/labour laws company decides if to pay the person working the job or not. Indian judiciary is bad so you can't do much so companies are demanding things like in the 1800s british factories.
