  3. What do you find the future reserved for the youth of Kerala?

    5 months
None of these points actually are solutions

    1) Kerala needs a proper urban agglomeration and an industrial differentiator. Expand Kochi corporation limits and make it a tier one city. This will radically create many jobs. Focus on just IT won’t work out. Bangalore already has the throne for this, and the rest are in Hyderabad, Pune and NCR. The IT companies in Kerala are normally backoffices and support systems. This doesn’t create the jobs that we want. Semiconductors are a great sector for example. Make incorporations easier compared to the rest of the states.

    2) KSUM is good but not great. It’s not like they are Y combinator. They are policy makers at best and mostly provide grants and hold marketing events. People romanticise and exaggerate their influence.

    3) Kerala is good socio economically comparatively. Proper transit systems are very important across the state. We need to create ways to increase tourism. Be world class at this. Goa is taking a beating rn, take advantage of this. We still don’t have microbreweries which baffles me(just an example)

There are many ways we can improve with the current variables but we are moving at a sluggish pace. Youth of Kerala leave the state because there aren’t many opportunities for them.

  9. Startup Idea - How much room to leave to find the right tech cofounder? Is my idea of tech stack leaving little from to find the right partner?

    5 months
You could really be limiting yourself. But it heavily depends upon what you're trying to build and what you're trying to achieve.

The C++ is the right answer in some areas and a deeply wrong answer in other areas. But also I would expect your technical co-founder to hopefully have the knowledge to do a proper evaluation. Each tech stack has its benefits and drawbacks and deciding the right tech stack can make a big difference on what you're trying to achieve.

And a lot of it's trade-offs so you might trade performance for velocity or ease of hiring, etc.

The last up startup I joined the founder was hell-bent on using python for everything and I made a passionate argument that it wasn't the right tech stack for everything and he eventually agreed. But in some areas python is the right answer.

That being said, I think C++ has a place but it's being eroded by some of the other newer technologies that offer benefits that C++ is unable to capture. I think you can achieve a lot of the performance of C++ and integration capabilities but with much higher velocity with other tech stacks.

Ideally, you would be willing to mix tech stacks to gain various benefits where it makes sense.

  12. What's your super power when it comes to Stock Market investment?

    5 months
My superpower? I have the power to stop full-fledged multi-year bull runs and crash the Nifty by 20% whenever I want. It’s very simple - there’s a button called “buy” on my app. Whenever i press that button, a war starts somewhere, or GDP growth comes to a standstill, or companies suddenly start missing their targets. It’s a super powerful button, but i’m not sure why they customised it for me, because it doesn’t work for any of my friends or colleagues. Whenever they press that button, the stocks they buy shoot up by 10-20% in a week. They told me also to try it, and I was eager to see my stocks go up 10-20%, but I seem to have brought the entire economy to a standstill by pressing it. Anyway, whenever you need the economy to start going up again, let me know, apparently there’s a button called “sell” somewhere. Once I can find it and press it, the bull run will be back overnight.

Side note: If you’re wondering why quant and parag parikh have not performed for the last 6 months, it’s because i started investing in them 6 months ago. I’m slowly getting rid of the investments, and once that’s done, they will be back on track again.

    Sad, inappropriate, rude.

Imagine a poor person trying to make ends meet. They probably bargain everywhere. They are “ugly bitches”? Very harsh and childish value judgment.

Should have just put “Fixed prices, no bargaining.”
