Look at it from the perspective of who is spreading the caste narrative in a typical village or town. Is it from the upper castes, or the lower castes? Do people from lower caste say that we want to be spat on, abused, flagged, and dehumanized by upper castes? Or is it the upper caste saying how dare these lower caste brat sit with me at the table and look me in the eye and talk to me as we are equals?

Are poor people poor because they want to be poor and be ill treated by the rich, the law establishment, have poor healthcare facility, just so they can claim ration from the government or subsidised rates for the grains they buy? Or are the poor people poor because that is in the best interest of the rich people who get to exploit them, get them to do cheap labour, beat them up if they disobey or go out of line?

Most importantly, hold meetings with your associations/communities right away. Make plans to prepare.
Find water tanker suppliers and make a deal with them.

This only works for the well-off people. Middle class is anyways fucked in this country.
