In India there are so many victims that everyone is like even we are not getting justice now heres a new community that wants justice, so the victims are fighting among themselves so their community stays on the light so they can get justice. Whenever her MIL was in the kitchen, my aunt would avoid coming out and only emerged after she left. My uncle was fully aware of this dynamic.

I’d suggest ignoring them—it’s just negative energy. Keep in mind that your in-laws will likely find reasons to criticize you, even if you were a stay-at-home mom. The harsh truth is, they were probably supportive in the beginning because it helped their son settle in the U.S.
