I have a strong feeling that the VACs (more vehicles, green signal) have actually made the situation worse. For example, at the Vivekananda Metro Signal, there is so much congestion since the VACs were introduced, and those stuck in traffic are driving themselves crazy, honking, on the footpath. Then there's the MG Road signal. Never shines green. It's just unbelievable. The uniformed officers were the best solution. I really wonder what these traffic policemen are doing these days. They're not directing traffic at the signals or stationed at the corners checking; so where exactly are they?

In North India, mostly Multiplexs run the shows. Their tickets are costlier than Single-screen . Whereas the proportion of single screening is higher in South India. The ticket prices also have a big difference where single screenings are more economical than Multiplexs. So it's evident how South movies tend to fetch huge earnings in 3-digit of crores.

And South movies are action packed thrill-rides, so they are able to attract glamourous-action lovers. Not necessarily guarantee logical depth in their script, but those action sequences are enough to spark an interest, so as to deliver packed houseful shows.

Also, there's a kind of animosity towards Hindi in Southern India. So there might be a reason why Southerns don't prefer watching Bollywood movies as much as Northerns tend to watch their movies.
