Why would someone need a college counselor in India anyway? You can just google top colleges in {category} and then search for their corresponding entrance criteria, or ask chatgpt since it's been trained upon all these blogs that give details of such colleges.

If you are looking abroad then maybe there is a chance since every university has a different criteria and it's kinda not so straightforward. In India if your going for engineering is either JEE or your state entrance test most of the time for which you don't need more than a youtube video to know what to do about.

I agree with your point. Matrimonial laws are weaponized to the point of abuse, and a pre- nup might be a step in the right direction.

However, there is another India that is not visible from where we stand, where dowry is still prevalent; grooms leave weddings because they did not get the motorcycle of their liking, and women are still subjected to physical violence by their husbands and in-laws. Matrimonial laws provide some respite to such women in these situations. Legalizing pre-nup in their case will effectively mean foregoing whatever legal protection they have. If a girl and her family can be made to pay dowry, they can very well be made to sign an agreement where they get very little or get nothing, if the marriage goes to shit.
