There are multiple reasons why we should feed dogs. They actually don’t multiply because people feed them, in fact by feeding them everyday these feeders build trust with their community dogs and are able to vaccinate them and sterilise them. In most cases because the dogs dont have to scavenge for food anymore, they stay in their lanes and don’t attack people or kids for food and territory issues.
I really don’t have an answer to why did the dogs started running behind you, but honestly that wasn’t triggered by the feeders. Your anger is valid, but is misplaced. Next time this happens, dont start running, that will surely make you an easy target. Instead double down, and pretend to throw a stone(don’t really throw it tho, that can make them more aggressive) and they will back off.
Of course easier would be to feed them biscuits, or anything cheap whenever you can. Hope this works for you!
