    Friend 2 is correct . I cruse on highways also dodge traffic and maintain a speed of 120-140 . I have a capable bike with tons of braking power so it’s not an issue for the bike. Even some experienced riders with lower cc bikes can cruise on high speeds . It all comes down to Throttle Control. If you grab clutch you will loose traction on the rear tyre and that is dangerous on slippery , wet roads. Never do that. Learn to master your throttle . Also learn to engine brake and rev match , this is why my front brake pads lasting me 15000kms .
