Imo malayalam cinema is the only one who gave a shit about improving the image of indian cinema. Tamil cinema was alright, but i dont see it getting any bigger than this. Telugu is gonna become the dominant cinema in india for the next couple of years in terms of hype and box office.Bollywood is officially number 2 in the race now. Kannada is trying to become the next telugu but probably wont. Hindi cinema is kind of in a weird place where it wants to compete with south but also maintain its core identity. And then there is malayalam cinema who gives no fucks and makes the best possible shit and still gets the least attention.

Kinda agree on some points, but you are generalising most of the aspects.
1. Yes, there is a lack of civic sense in general throughout this country. (can say this because I have lived in various cities)
2. Yes, people lack traffic sense and even after implementing traffic signals, they don’t give a shit about them.
3. Kinda disagree on the street food part. Yes the quality has degraded over the years, but still there are some places with really good food.
4. I have lived in Pune for several years, and yes a lot of Vesu folks resemble them. They are rich, they have good education, they have similar exposure from the environment so can’t blame them for who they are. Every city has that segment of people.
5. For the rest of the part, you have way too generalised mindset. You cant judge every girl of Surat and title them as boring just because the ones you met are. And Gujarati people with decent education know Hindi pretty well.

Have traveled across 5-6 countries and honestly, yes. We have no concept of personal space or how to use public space properly. We over extend any common courtesy offered by people.

We do not treat people in service industry with any dignity.
