I can only think of a few things:

1. AQI is bad. May be wear a mask when out in open, check with the hotel on air purifier if not already one in your room.

2. Eat from branded/reputed places. You can use food delivery apps (Zomato, Swiggy) if that's an option, check the ratings.

3. Keep a couple local contact numbers handy, just in case if you might need them in some emergency (talking to cab guy, etc).

Economically EV makes sense if you drive a lot. Be it a car or a bike. EVs are also quite nimble and have quick acceleration. With the investments in renewables, battery technology, grid and associated tech, EV starts making more sense compared to ICEs. I haven't been in BYD, I liked the Tesla ride.
