perplexity backlinks are fine! google doesnt really penalize links from ai sites just cause theyre competitors. What matters more is the referring domain authority and if its a natural contextual link

But honestly id focus more on getting backlinks from industry specific websites - those tend to move the needle way more for rankings. Some good ways:

- pitch to industry blogs/publications
- share unique data/research others wanna cite
- answer reporter queries (HARO etc)
- create detailed how-to guides

We've seen really good results with reporter outreach at backlinker ai getting links from niche relevant sites. The key is making sure ur quotes/content actually add value vs just promotional stuff.
