Workwise - I would say don't restrict yourself to finding a job only in the USA. Try applying in Canada, India, anywhere really. You can gain experience and go to the USA anytime, if you really like that place, but right now your priority is a good-decent paying job, so yes don't limit yourself. Also, try not staying alone for long periods, cuz such thoughts will consume you even more. Try sharing them with your well wishers.
