My brother is progressive and feminist because we witnessed our dad’s abuse toward our mom. He saw her crying, saying she wanted to die, and that God should have taken her after our dad had hit her for the nth time. It flipped things for him. He is openly feminist and said d the same on matrimony profile which attracted good matches.

My brother and sister-in-law live alone and share household chores based on their work schedules. They batch-cook rice and roti, while other vegetarian and non-vegetarian side dishes are made depending on mood and availability. My sister-in-law is a morning person and has to log in at 11. Brother is night owl he does chopping or prepping in night or cooks dinner. They work as team leaning on eachother. They have a beautiful marriage.

People who casually say, maid does the job have no understanding of how a household actually runs. Having a maid doesn't eliminate mental and emotional labour for women only physical labour a bit. Women still have to plan meals, shop for the right ingredients, and soak or ferment food that requires preparation in advance. My mom has health issues, so I make sure she gets the right nutrition, which means carefully choosing the right recipe, ingredients, portion size and catering to our moods and likiing. My mom and I live alone, and while we have a cook and are grateful for the privilege, there is still a significant mental and emotional load involved.

Get a loan, but pay and close it early

I don't know if I am a feminist , I have confusion with the term in general as there is lots of contradiction over what is and what is not feminism. At least I am not a regressive man. But I don't cook at home, my wife does. The reason is simple, I don't like to cook.Just because my wife cooks doesn't mean I am regressive. People are obsessed with few things and completely confuse feminism and preference. Just like how I hate cooking, my wife hates doing the dishes. So I do the dishes, take out the trash , make the bed all of which she doesn't like to do.

Its that simple. Feminism does not mean that there are no compromises at all. Cooking is a work just like cleaning, doing the dishes , washing clothes etc. People make it sound like cooking decides who is feminist and who is not

You can go to the mall near the airport, watch a movie - aerohub. Watch a late night show in the mall and go to airport. No need to take a room. Plan according to your energy levels. You can sleep in the airport from 12 to 4am or so.

I cook every other day and my wife does the same. If she likes what I cooked, she eats it otherwise she cooks something for herself, I do the same.

Our kid eats whatever is cooked, there's always choices.
