My views are opposite. I think Punjabi regionalism is rising in both West and East Punjab.

In the West Punjab, we recently saw Punjabi movement bore fruit and we got Punjabi language introduced in schools. Though the whole burden of Pakistani nationalism was put on the shoulders of Punjabis but recently Muslim League has shifted a bit towards Punjabi regionalism.

In the East Punjab, though 1966, the creation of Punjabi Subah on the basis of our mother tongue was the epitome of Punjabi regionalism but it remained subdued under Sikh Nationalism supported by Akali Dal. With the fall of Akali Dal and rise of AAP, we saw a new "secular" Punjabi regionalism in the East Punjab.
