  2. Whats your opinion on cloud storage?

    4 months
Love it. But my 128gb phone is enough. I just have to upload 30 gb of old photos and videos to run Genshin impact 😭. I would strongly recommend making 2 google accounts and then linking them. the other alternative is to use JioCloud if you have jiosim cuz you get 100gb free but i am not aware if its going to be free forever or for the timebeing to get more customers

  4. What's wrong with people of North india

    4 months
Lack of education, backward culture that rewards posturing and presenting as dominating, sparse employment opportunities means that the people behind the wheel of a mid tier vehicle has acquired it with some sort of easy money that one hasn’t had to work for.

Under these circumstances it becomes natural to leverage the vehicle as a way to compensate for their own lack of self worth.

  6. Downfall of sector 17

    4 months
Sector 17 should be way more popular than any mall. The Plaza is modelled on European plaza's but unlike them there are no great cafes and restaurants around it. Only some chat shops and a stale roll seller.

  11. What is required for a small business to grow big. Why in India we have so many small businesses but very few of them becoming big.

    4 months
    1. Indians, have had a habit of treading very carefully when it comes to investing into a business. We always want to be safe in case it doesn't work. When that happens, we have already accepted that it'll fail and so we have a backup.

    2. I have seen people around me, they don't do the simplest of the things just to make it slightly better. For eg, I went to a restaurant which wasn't that expensive last week, they had stuck menus with the Zomato tape on a wall printed on white paper. They stuck LED light strips with Zomato tapes. They aren't willing to do simple things which will just push them over the edge.

    3. Most people enter a business with money mindset, not for the passion or love for it. For eg, I am an Orthodontist. And I make sure that I provide the best treatment in quality. Sometimes the best treatment is to do nothing. Many dentists aren't willing to let go of a patient until they have done something to them because they want to earn money.

    4. We are in an era and in a country where there is no lack of anything right now. Even in tier 2 cities, there is an ample amount of things, services you need. And people who have made it big earlier, they might be the first of in the game. Hence they have made it big.

    5. Indian population, most of it is such that they want to save money. They can easily compromise on quality but they want it cheaper. They wouldn't even know the price of the commodity, but will bargain for everything. Hence the service provider, does reduce the quality to make it cheap.
  12. Question for People making > 20% CAGR, What fundamentals do you consider?

    4 months
I've managed a CAGR of above 25% through algorithm investing. 80% investments are in mutual funds and 20% in stocks.

It's based on 3 different strategies.

First algorithm is to generate 100% CAGR from Indian stocks. The logic used behind this is that in order for a stock to go from 100 to 200 in a year (100% CAGR), it has to move from 100 to 141 twice, every 6 months, or from 100 to 106 every month. A stock might not move from 100 to 200 in a year, but there's a chance it will move from 100 to 106 multiple times in a year. The algorithm takes advantage of these movements to generate 100%+ CAGR constantly.

Second algorithm is to take advantage of falling sectors within India and foreign markets in general. Right now I'm investing in Brazil using these metrics. Some of the other positions I have open using this algorithm are Edelweiss US Technology Equity FoF (44% CAGR, holding period 2.03 years), Kotak Nasdaq 100 FOF (39% CAGR, holding period 2.03 years). I will exit these positions once these markets start to decline.

Third algorithm is for long term investing in mutual funds. Between my wife and I, we invest a fixed amount per month, but the amount per fund varies depending on the market conditions. When a fund starts underperforming its allocated growth, I bump up the amount. This helps me generate extra CAGR on top of what the fund provides in the long term. This algorithm has been slightly modified since some of the foreign funds (Mirae Asset Artificial Intelligence, NYSE FANG, Nasdaq) have stopped taking fresh investments, so I've limited this to Indian funds for now.

Lexapro(escitalopram?), lamotrigine, xanax (only as needed, panic attacks/hyperventilating crying deals). Was diagnosed as 'bipolar with too much depression', or something. A little jealous of people who actually treat their adhd, but this stuff helps at least.
