I want to start trading
Check offthechartcircle.com, a good community where people will help you and not scam you. It is paid though, but that seems to have done what is was intended for, keeping the scammers out and having genuine people. It's also pretty new, so it's not like some that have thousands and you are no-one, they seem to be very genuine. -

1000 parprantiyas!!!!
This is why infrastructure driven development is shit... Govt should just print money and distribute money through Ladka Bhaus and Bahins instead of inviting moar parprantiyas. -
Help planning Jaipur trip
Try visiting all museum and temples on day 1, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Isarlot and City palace can be done in Day 2(All are in same complex) and Day 3 can be fort(Start with Panna Meena,Amer, Jaigarh and Nahargarh)
We planned our trip this way as once we started our day, it avoided the hassles of crisscrossing the city multiple times.
Essentially clubbing all the places as per their proximity with one another
Also Nahargarh's Sunset is worth seeing.
Try visiting Galtaji and Hanumanji temple as well on Day 1 and either take rest in Vidyadhar Garden or Sisodiya Rani ka Baugh -
Weekly Career Discussion Thread (20 Jan 2025)
Hello everyone,
I am seeking advice from experienced engineers. I previously worked in the oil and gas industry as a Materials & Corrosion Engineer for a recognizable international company. I have 11 years of experience, including 9 years of active work, as I have spent approximately 3 years on childcare leave. Currently, I am on childcare leave but ready to explore new opportunities.
The challenge is that, apart from my older NACE certifications (Coating Inspector Levels 1 & 2 and Pipeline Corrosion Advanced), I don’t have any recent certifications.
Could you please advise on which certifications would be best to pursue first to increase my chances of finding a job? Should I continue with AMPP certifications or consider API certifications instead? If API is recommended, which certifications should I prioritize?
What certifications are currently in demand in the industry?
Thank you for your advice! -

Maharashtra signs Rs 4.99 lakh crore in MoUs at Davos
Should not lick government balls. This is clearly a marketing gimmic. If they actually do something good. We should definitely praise them. But it's all basically renewals and all indian companies. No new investments as such. -

This is why I am starting to be less and aless patriotic. Smh. Its not just about Haryana.
Edit: To better explain my views:
I am not anti indian. Slowly losing faith in the idea of patriotism/nationalism/whatever in general. I would love it if people ACTUALLY acted in love for the country. But they don't. This 'love' remains on paper only. In reality, there's littering, casteism, majoritarianism and so on. -
Maharashtra is WESTERN INDIA

Did you actually make any money by trading?
You are better off not "knowing" anything. Nobody actually knows anything, it's all just probability, and position size in relation to that expected outcome. I swear to christ don't even attempt to learn you will be 10xs better off. My only concern is letting go of bias and maintaining beginners mind.
This is the only endeavor where the less you do or work the greater your are rewarded.
Chances are you won't take this advice because you are either possessed by your ego or are a degenerate gambler.
Look at a 4 hour chart of gold right now and tell me what you think will happen. When I mentioned bias earlier I mean macro/fundamental bias.(i was an economist/data wonk so its hard to shed that non sense).. you obviously have to formulate a plan.
But you simply create a plan and do it. Gold is either about to breakout or fall back into the range and tank.
If you desire to "learn" learn how options work so you can rape them coming and going. -

Fear and greed drives all of our decisions in the stock market or crypto Market basically. It's easy to get greedy, but try to remember that it's always better to be sad over profits you missed out on then money you lost. We all want to jump in at the lowest point and sell at the highest point but if you can end up in the green at all be thankful -

I did for a while. Then my head got messed up and I lost everything. I took a long break and ready to get at it again.
