“CTO” ghosting “I will not promote”
Owner / CTO a software dev company here. Developers can be some of the most unreliable, flaky, tough-conversation-avoiding, unfuriatingly hard to manage folks on the planet. They can be like deer in the headlights: the _split second_ something doesn’t suit them, or they smell blood in the water or a sniff of BS, or they get a better deal somewhere else, they might bolt. Which sounds like something you might be experiencing.
On the other hand, in the right environment, with the right support, trust, and freedom to build stuff based on their expertise, (plus: the right money) they will happily _work their behinds off all day and night_ with you, knowing that you’re both solving something cool.
It’s really, really tough to attract, engage and maintain techie folks. I know I’m not solving anything for you here, more empathising. Keep going! -
How to quickly figure out if a potential co-founder is the right match? (I will not promote)
A quick way to test compatibility with a potential co-founder is to work on a small, time-bound project together. This could be:
A mini ‘sprint’ where you set a goal to achieve within 1-2 weeks.
Joining a hackathon to observe how you handle stress, decision-making, and problem-solving under pressure.
A ‘test task’ that’s directly related to your startup’s future work.
Focus on how you communicate, manage conflicts, and adapt when things don’t go as planned. Technical skills can be learned, but strong alignment in work ethic and problem-solving is key -

What does a Hindu service look like?
There’s no service or mass per se and each temple is different. I would say the closest to that we have is when someone is invited to give lectures from one of the many texts or when a small group gathers to reflect on a particular text. Usually visiting a temple is a private affair where you go and visit the deities during your own time, be it with family and friends or even just by yourself. There’s no set time during which everyone gathers to pray at the same time. Temples are open usually everyday but close around noon for a couple hours and then open again for the evening. On certain days, we celebrate festivals on which more elaborate/special rituals are performed and that’s usually when you’ll see a large number of people gathering to pray together -
The iconic Stone Chariot of Vijaya Vittala Temple, Hampi that's on our Rs 50 Note
Image seems to be edited. The shadows don't make sense.
By looking at the stone chariot, you'd think the Sun is somewhere behind it. But then, the fingers are fully lit, implying the sun is behind the person. -
TV show recommendations?
Severance.
i think it also applies to neetish mental problems in a related way. for those that have severe or lifelong social dysfunctional problems , or not being neurotypical, that make it harder to make it in life.
the show is also outstandingly well written, and if you've ever tried an office job, it understands a bit of the pain of being misfit or intimidated, or humiliated at the job. there's some good comedic relief too, so overall it's a nice neetish distraction also if you can get past the painful reminders if it triggers back bad memories from an office job you've had. -
