I have been a victim of badmouthing by my L1 manager as well and i second keeping an open channel with your skip and heads.
Though i am still struggling to create visibility of work with leadership without being cringey? Any tips are appreciated.

Not a fan of the movie, but it belongs to a typical category of films that are guilty pleasures for romantic people, like Ana Huang novels. It is an amalgamation of some beautiful to look at songs with some random scenes sandwiched in between to call it a story. The directors of the film were known for directing some very famous Indie pop music videos (mostly of Tseries) so you know where this perspective comes from. They also directed "Lucky: No time for love", beautiful songs but not much substance in the story.

The movie is making money simply because the audience is disappointed with the new releases, even though it's available for free on Youtube. The reels are just picking the specific parts that are beautiful and dramatic and skipping over the stupid scenes.

The usual answer: it depends, but generally you should spend the least time possible on such topics.

GDPR and basic security isn't that hard but proving that you're doing it is harder because you need provable processes in place.

Like most things company related, from 0 to 10k$ monthly you're basically a pirate or a street thug, whatever you are doing won't be clean, compliant or perfectly legal. Your edge is that you can go through the small cracks, if you refuse to go through them then the whole game becomes significantly harder. No legal authority cares about you because you're too small, even if you spam your whole customer base constantly it's too small to have any consequences.

You thread a thin line where you sell things you don't yet have to people at prices not really worth it, pretending to have more customers than you currently have, your compliances are mostly "trust me bro", your work hours and objectives are "let's hope it pays out in the future" and your customers only buy because they trust your ability to deliver in the future.

You can't afford to play it safe, time is you biggest enemy, motivation dwindles faster than a baby learns to say "no", every day spent not earning actual cash is a day where one of your cofounder or yourself is closer to leaving the project. You know even if nobody leaves, they get slowly mentally quits it overtime.
