I’m trying to sign up for an ACA plan through my state right now since I’m unemployed/trying to start up self employment and the cheapest ‘decent’ ones I was presented are $450-475 **per month**, and still require me to pay 20% or 50% “coinsurance” for basically anything outside of a regular office visit. I’m not sure what’s supposed to be affordable about this. It’s insane.

Saw a short piece on PBS the other day that mentioned Jimmy Carter was trying to get something going with a National Health plan. Then Reagan Reagan was elected, and sadly ridiculed the idea. End of story. How many lives could have been saved, bankruptcies averted, and overall stress and suffering avoided ………??!!!

I personally think this sounds like a bad idea. No one will invest in a startup whose co founder is a different company. A co-founder is supposed to be something that is uniquely valuable to the startup. Just being honest!
