\~ Conservative policies at all times secure the comfort and security of the wealthy at the expense of everyone else. Period.

\~ Since 1968, the Democratic party has very often supported and implemented conservative policies. The Republican party virtually never compromises its mission in the same way.

There are New Deal Democrats in the party, but the party gives them no power. There are also radical conservatives serving in the Democratic party who undermine leftward drift and some of them become so obvious they have to leave the party when they are outed(Sinema, Manchin, Gabbard to name a few). There are no moderates left in the Republican party, let alone secret progressives.
