Each states language is national language in its own state.
Surprisingly many of reputed marathi writers like Pu La are referring hindi as national language in their literature.
Marathi people are so ignorant that they are not realising that their own national language marathi is losing importance and politicians are encouraging it as migrants from Hindi states have increased in alarming proportions so politicians purchase their votes by neglecting marathi at all levels.

I myself lived in Mumbai n abroad n my parents are originally from North India but since I lived in diverse environment I respect the local language n culture. I never blame or get upset if someone doesn't know Hindi or English.
