I feel that these kind of characters depend so much on acting,like I can't separate actors from characters and analyze what would the character be without that particular actor.At least in khushi's case I can't because sanaya added so much to the character.I see people say how it is a character similar to her real life personality so it must have been easy for her and I disagree,khushi had very Desi mannerisms and expressions which SI obviously does not.What I mean by Desi expressions?For example that bit in arnav's cabin the way she says "I have to quickly get cards printed too" (Dabba business episodes).
Overall,I don't see khushi kind of expressions by sanaya in her offscreen bits.But I think I do see some of rati's mannerisms and expressions in nupur,people say rati is "introverted in real life and played a diametrically opposite character" and i agree that an introvert she is! but she is a fun loving introvert,she always has jokes to crack in her interviews,it's not like she is a gunjan or mayank kind of person who played a nupur onscreen.

I think sanaya stepped into her character and rati absorbed the character into herself,and as a viewer I find the former more awe-inspiring.



I also want to say that zoya was progressive,yes but only keeping in mind the very low standards of itv in that regard.

The way I see the characters,Annika was the most street smart of GK heroines,and she had shades of cynicisms and bitterness.Zoya THOUGHT she was street smart but really she was pretty naive,she was ofc opinionated too.Khushi was truly chaotic,but sometimes she also used to hide her feelings and distress beneath that mask of happiness which is unhealthy.I don't think geet was all that sunshiney,I saw more anxious energy than bubbliness in her. Nupur shone the most as a sister, and she was confident,had bit of ego/temper issues.

IIT say hai toh kia hua , smart hai toh kia hua, insaan ko kuch acha aur kuch baada karne kay liye ambition aur goals ki jarurat hoti hai jo iske pass nahi tha. Go and ask him weather he was actually passionate about aerospace engineering, if not then why the fuck did he pursu it, buss IIT hai isliye.
