I used to prefer COD until a few years back while placing an order for the first time from a new site or app. Though I never rejected delivery. Now I prefer online payments because there is always some discount if I pay online. Some websites also have COD charges. So I only pay COD now at the DMart self-pickup point. That's because there were a couple of occasions where they sent the wrong item or damaged item. In such refund cases, they directly adjust it, and I don't have to wait or track the refund.
Maybe you can offer discounts for online payments? At the same time, please ensure the quality of your service to avoid mistakes/minimize refunds. People like me hate tracking refunds. If your website provides a good customer experience, you will get good reviews and build trust. With that people won't hesitate to pay online. Good luck

This is the only problem I have with Bangalore auto drivers. They get sucked into these rapido ola apps and they just do that in the middle of the streets. It took me 5 min to pass one auto as he was merrily kept messing with some booking apps.
