Hello, I would suggest please move somewhere around Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas or GK. You can always find a flat through flats and flatmates on Facebook. Saket (especially the areas you mentioned) are not safe for a single, new to the city woman. What you can also do is move a bit far, if you want an independent place, somewhere in DDA flats like Vasant Kunj and travel by metro or auto

At face value it sounds like you're right. Your best way to navigate this is to ask to see the monthly SEO reports from the company so you can use this information to guide your campaigns (Apologies if that doesn't actually make sense based on what you're doing, but I've said a variation of this many times).

From this, you could say that the report isn't going into enough detail and question whether your client understands more. If they seem a bit lost, that's your prompt to guide them on what they should be receiving. I don't know your relationship, but if you can be direct, be direct. I've never had someone dislike me for straight up telling them 'this isn't right'.

At the end/start of each month, your client should receive a breakdown of work completed in the previous month and objectives for this month, along with a report of KPIs such as clicks, impressions, position for keywords (they should have already done keyword research to know what to track) and anything else the SEO company is saying is important.

If your reports sound like this:

\- Content optimisation across key service pages
\- Submission to Google Search Console
\- Metadata testing
\- Finalising content plan
\- Internal review of 2x blogs
\- Added schema markup to key pages
\- Built backlinks with relevant domains

Then it's likely nonsense.

You want a very explicit description of the page they've worked on, what they've done to it, why they've done it, and a review timeline to measure results. Generalised wording is always a bad sign in SEO, the more specific they are, the more likely they've actually done what they were meant to.

For the money they're spending, after 6 months, we could have built an entirely new website from the ground up, full keyword research, keywords allocated to every page, every page optimised, and be producing 6 blogs/content pieces a month.

After 6 months you should also see some results, but this is a weird area for SEO as it's very easy to show a rise in impressions as an early signal that what they're doing is working. That might be true, but the most important part right now is getting a very clear breakdown of what they're actually doing.

I absolutely hate how many times I've worked with people and I see a similiar story to this, and I always go out of my way to help these people (a lot of the time unpaid, just to make sure they're clued up and have someone they can trust). Very very happy to dive into this further with you if you want to. I have a lot of respect for you for raising this in the first place and looking out for your client.
