My father is Garhwali and Mother is Kumaoni, I can understand both languages but can't speak it fluently, reason, I lived my childhood to teen years in a small village in UP.
I only spent 4 years in Doon for college and everyone speaks hindi in Doon.
My parents moved to UP for Jobs when UP and Uttarakhand was same they were state government employees, after the split they along with countless people applied to go back to Uttranchal it was accepted but after 20 years and by then our life was set in UP.
But still father have to go Uttarakhand but Luckily it was only 100 km away and he used to come during weekends.

Please understand first that there are two types of DPS. One the Original Parent School which has very few branches across. Secondly you will find lots of Franchise DPS which are NOT managed nor run by the founding management. Parent school has a very Structured and disciplined school management hence quality of education is better. Franchises like any other business..model just pay the management to use their Name. The choice is yours.
