If the seats are allocated according to population then north India population will increase more...and south India will be neglected by the centre. South Indians are educated and they contribute for the growth of economy...but they get less fund from the centre... For development. Major chunk goes to Bihar and Utter Pradesh. That's injustice.

All I see on this sub is a hate post against mainlanders every once in a while. The ones fetishising NE girls, I don't condone those and you are right to bash those out. But other than that, what's wrong with other posts by mainlanders? Asking about your culture? Your ways of living? For a long time North East was under represented and remained as some shrouded mystery in Himalayas, but social media is helping let go off those stigmas. Just like u/Solitary_Iceberg said. The Hindutva guys and their post can be easily banned by moderators.

But even now, all I see is us bashing each other. When is it going to stop? Every other day it's mainlanders this and that. I'm a mainlander and trust me, leaving a handful of people who you can find everywhere you go, no one has negative views about North East. I have always being fascinated by North East and I have tried all my life to change thinking of the people around me about North East and promote North East.

I have been ardent supporter of MizoHoops on social media for a long time and have promoted them in my circles very enthusiastically.

But since I have been on Reddit, it just saddens me to see all the bullshit hate spewing going on between each other, mainlanders to North easterners and so on. Yes, north east has a significant migration problem (illegal) on that, and guys speak out against it, rightfully so. But how is the migration problem caused due to mainlanders? How can an ordinary citizens like you and me do shit about illegal migration? That's why we have elected leaders. Now they ain't a great bunch, especially in a place like India, but if everyone forces them to, then can be of use. We have been facing Rohingyas migration problems here in Maharashtra and the local population's anger forced the politicans and authorities to act. There have been demolition and removal of illegal immigrants from slums. It's not on a large scale, but you gotta start somewhere. Band against your politicans and put forth your demands.

Why is it that when guys face misfortune and under development, we are quick to blame it on others? Let's give up that mentality. Or else we are going to play blame game and go no where.
