A recent Himalayan owner here but already clocked 2000+kms.
To answer our questions...it's a great bike and has phenomenal suspension. I get around 33-36 kmpl in city riding (eco mode) and I have gotten 39.8kmpl on a 500 km ride. And mileage will depend on how to ride the bike ofcourse.
Issues I would say is the weight of the bike while it's parked. It's super top heavy and u will take time to get used to taking u-turns etc.
I have dropped the bike in parking once and needed help from someone to pick it up.
But that's pretty much it. Once u start moving that weight just disappears. Also it's super stable on the highways coz of the weight.
I've got the radiator and engine guard...any other mod is just upto u and more for ease of life maybe.
It performs extremely well off-road too....small potholes don't exist, the bike just eats those up and it's super smooth. U can get the touring seats if u do a lot of long trips as it's more comfy but not a necessary.
People complain a lot about the mirrors but honestly if u get it set according to u when u receive the bike,it's pretty damn good. I can easily see if someone is behind me with the stock mirrors, just needed them adjusted when I got em that's all.

Overall it's a beauty of a bike.
