    Even 15 yrs ago, Hindu speaking marwaris and Jains used to look down upon Odiya speakers. Literally forced all their Odia speaking friends (in school) to speak in Hindi coz they couldn't speak Odia well. That was Biju days. Now I can imagine how worse off it is.

    Our cinema and literature is dying and soon Odia will become like Rajasthani or Bhojpuri, spoken by ill-educated, poor folks living in Odisha.
