IMO, changing regular oil more frequently is better than using premium oil which costs double or triple and use it for longer coverage. May work for those who use their machines too much like more than 25 - 30k per year but my usage is about 10-15k per year.

I think it has to do with expectation setting. be clear with what your expectations are from your partner right from the beginning and stick to it.
