The key thing is to invalidate the idea as quickly as possible. You're wrong in ways you don't understand yet and finding out what right looks like is your first most important step.

Lulu - offers plenty of free time together, lots of variety on offer for food, relatively cheap compared to most cafés. Can go for the classics like Paragon, Vasanta Bhavan.

MoT - relatively quiet due to the buzz at Lulu, which offers some more privacy as a couple. Good food options, probably the cheapest option on offer.

Turf Cafe - fantastic burgers, lovely ambiance, great coffee. A bit on the pricey side though.

Sprig the Finest (Kazhakuttam) - good pan-Asian food, ramen and dumplings. Like turf, a bit pricey but good quality food.

Eve’s Coffee (Anayara) - lovely coffee, lots of variety of board games and books that allow you to spend a lot of valuable time together. Downside is that there’s not a lot of variety on offer for food, but can club it with St. Andrews’ beach for the sunset.

Savour Street (Kumarapuram) - combines the cafe options of Eve’s with the add-on of games and more food variety, has great frappes.
