Is it really possible to get funding pre launch?
If you have built a successful company that has exited previously: yes. If you have not, you’d better know some people in some very fortunate places that will either give you the money or introduce you to those that will.
Given your domain exposure, I’d say you actually boost your odds, especially in London with the appetite for the next big FinTech opportunities. That being said, remain realistic, if you haven’t got big name companies on your CV (Revolut, Wise, Starling et al) you’re going to be fighting an uphill battle, especially without a functional demo/MVP.
A few banks have incubators but won’t hit that £1m in investment and the terms will suck; but they will give you a foot in the door with other firms: which is what you want. You can try Antler/EF but again, the terms vs cash aren’t great. YC? Eh, I doubt you had SF in your plans.
I know a few Angels/VCs who might have a chat but their ticket is going to be £10-100k max, some intros at Antler/EF that could help but I do honestly think you should bootstrap to a more investable point just in terms of retaining equity for yourself. -
Til we have the highest working hours
Unfortunely, Indian work culture belives longer hours to quantity/quality of work.
Atleast in the formal sector, this is purely driven by manager expectations. Whether you do anything productive or not, you need to spend all your time in office. -
No longer a joke: Ministers say Trump's threats to absorb Canada need to be taken seriously
IT WAS NEVER A JOKE.

Glad to see some women calling out toxic feminism by Indian Women.
Toxic feminism? No, what you're seeing is just the natural progression of things. Feminism was never about equality. As the word itself implies, it has always about improving life for women.
The first wave was for the right to vote, because women didn't even have that much.
The second was for the right to work and to end legal discrimination against women. If these feminists were true to themselves, the movement would've ended there. Sure, there might have been problems here and there, but the major obstacles to equality were all gone.
Instead, it never stopped. Feminists and their 'male allies' have been demanding more and more. Laws are being changed to be gynocentric, rather than gender-neutral, based on fancy theories about intersectionality, systemic oppression, etc etc. This is happening everywhere, not just in India. Atul Subhash's case would have been nothing special, had it not been for how he meticulously documented and publicized everything. One just needs to see the NCW threatening the family of some dude who had fled abroad to escape his divorce problems, to realize just how deep the rot has set in (this was posted on this very same forum). Let's not even talk about MeToo and the horrific way unsubstantiated allegations ruined people's lives.
Does that mean there is no real movement for equality, for treating others, women included, with the dignity they rightfully deserve? There is, it's called humanitarianism, but you won't hear these types mention it. -

Hot take: please don't join a pre-PMF startup
I agree with most of what you wrote. A few points where I disagree
- Not all of us can work at Google/etc. working at a start-up creates this possibility. It also works if you want a hard to get promotion at these companies
- Some of these startups work on cool tech you can't work at these big orgs.
- you can also believe in the mission/team. And take a risk.
- startups are a lottery but not in practice. For instance, you know who might be successful and if you like working with them.
- founders (at least the ones I know) are not disingenuous and unethical as you imply.
In general if you want to make $$$ and you're in the US and can get a good job, go work there. It's what the risk adjusted decision is and I think they actually build their salary grid like this at Google.
I went through a startup incubator and that's roughly what they said. -

Got Scammed at Kalyom Jewellers
Brooooo.... The exact same thing happened to my dad and sister in TNagar branch but few months back I guess. When they were rushing him to make the purchase without properly explaining and breaking down why he had to pay that amount despite the discount, he just left the store and they were like "sir sir, vanga sir" till the parking, he didn't even bother looking back and just got on his bike and left. -
