Just like Goa has Marathi as the third option I think It'd be much more handier to have a language like Kannada, (or other south indian languages or even French or German) as the third language option, job prospects wise. I feel like we already had Hindi as a third language in schools and most people i know have never really had any use for it.

Nothing against Hindi, I work in Madhya Pradesh. Still feel it's useless for most Malayalis.

There's nothing wrong with watching Malayalam cartoons. I'm sure the old kaathu, manjaadi, pooppy, minnaminni, kilukkampetti were way wayyyyyy better. Those lush green forests, villages, animals, their voices, good lyrics, and moral stories. Such good old days. 😮‍💨♥️ Instead of a phone, TV would be a better choice.

I'm in Thailand right now at the end of a 2-month stay, and I'm traveling at least once more in 2025.

I've never backpacked or done hostels, but I spend less than the average backpacker, because that's just how cheap Thailand is (or used to be). Also shop until I get legacy airlines for budget airline fares. On my last trip I spent 6 months shopping for a ticket.

In a few hours I'm taking a 5 Baht train from Pattaya to Sriracha for a few days.

Travel in 2025 is more exhausting than I've ever experienced. Flying is just awful now. So much of it is jumping through hoops, and your face entered into the airport's system without your consent. After covid I've lost the desire to get to know local anything or anyone. I'm only traveling to avoid the hellhole that is my country of birth. I don't want to be outside without air conditioning, if I'm honest.

Thailand has dropped off a cliff in so many ways, and after 15 years this will be my last trip here. I spent my teens growing up in Bangkok and there's very little of that Thailand that remains. The best Farangs noticed this 25 years ago and they began to retreat from Bangkok or leave Thailand altogether. I defended the indefensible for years and well, I'll remember to not love a country next time :P
