The problem is that a lot of normie rules are made up. Men who publicly talk about respecting women will become shameless in their pursuit of sex. Women who pretend to have self-esteem buckle down towards "respectable" men's disrespectful advances. People pursue careers for money and social status, but in the interviews you're supposed to beat around the bush. People do those same things to avoid humiliation ("imagine if I end up a jobless virgin"), but they don't admit the real reasons for their motivations. You're not supposed to say certain things out loud.
