The phenomenon could be aptly termed as **"Clickbait Radicalism."**

Due to the pervasive influence of social media, many Indians today, deeply rooted in politically opinionated and often biased views, engage online primarily to validate their personal judgments, grudges, hatred and biases. This behavior gradually evolves into entitlements, arrogance, short temperaments, and a confrontational attitude, leading to unnecessary altercations. Recent Goa issue is of same kind, but no one is talking about it as well.

Social media offers the comforting illusion of "***throwing an opinion to see if it sticks,"*** encouraging people to vent about trivial matters for collective affirmation. For example, I observed a staunch BJP supporter in my circle, who had never expressed concern over issues like gas prices, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, or taxation, suddenly making a spectacle of the recent 15% increase in KSRTC fares. It appeared less about genuine concern and more about seeking validation through superficial outrage.

Similarly, during a discussion with a Congress leaning friend, I raised concerns about reservations, pointing out that while they aimed to address systemic inequities, they might have caused long-term structural issues. I even referenced Dr. Ambedkar’s own critiques, where he spoke of reservations as a temporary measure, advocating for more sustainable solutions. However, my friend dismissed the argument outright, leaning on the authority of "I’ve read Ambedkar’s works" and equating any critique with an attack on the Constitution. This defensive stance reflected a broader trend of prioritizing ideology over open dialogue and it's across every person today.

This pattern extends beyond politics. For instance, recent debates over Bengaluru’s cultural identity and the Kannada language reveal similar behaviors. Social media amplifies radicalism, where people, claiming to champion false nationalism, false progressive liberalism, or activism or left wing etc, refuse to introspect or consider differing perspectives. Instead, they embrace aggressive stances, dismissing dissenters with an ***"I’m always right, and who are you to question me, what are you, which group you belong so that I can*** ***shame you?"*** attitude.

The result is a polarized environment where individuals are more focused on seeking validation than fostering meaningful dialogue. We than gradually shift or adopt narratives that align with our biases, whether it’s fueling divisive cultural debates. You can even just youtube and check "KOREANS HATE INDIANS or JAPANESE HATE INDIANS" and you will see how so many Indians are deliberately involved in the same narrative they are doing for Bengaluru or other issues in India. Same thing even Americans are doing that through their NGOs running in every part of the world too, funding people, activists just to create civil unrest, even through media as well. People have just lost their ability to self introspect.

The challenge lies in everyone to learn moving away from this culture of clickbait-driven radicalism. But it's hard to happen anytime soon.

Upper castes haven't carried out holocausts against lower castes here like the whites did in India, Germany , Australia , Africa in recent centuries,
And the white christians did horrific crusades in the medieval and post medieval ages.
  6. My neighbour has the unfortunate habit of buring garbage either inside her own house compound or at times in other's property adjacent to mine.. Have requested them several times not to do this but they don't listen.. Any suggestions to deal with this issue?

    4 months
My house owner used to do this in Clementown. We (3 guys) used to stay at top floor rooms they had big backyard and big house. They told us to keep garbage at a particular place. I used to think they threw garbage in the garbage wali gadi. But later we discovered they used to open our garbage (in black ployethend) burn Everthing; any organic matter was left in the garden to rot (acted as manure to the veggies she use to grow).

His fans were happy praising Kohli's captaincy today and bashing others while praising him. I want to see what they will do after his batting failure . Second innings captaincy post coming soon to cover this failure .They even claim Sachin wouldn't average 40 in this era .

In a way , complaining can be good, we are not satisfied with the current life and want more...

But sometimes complaining can become an addiction..
