Whatever you decide on, the key in Goa is finding a niche. Something that makes you stand out.

So if you open a restaurant or beach shack, what are you doing differently that other shacks don’t provide is what you’d have to look at. I know some that have tried to open with the same sort of vibe, menu and atmosphere as others around and have failed drastically.

I’d say look at your skills, your interests, your passions, and then what you think the area of community would need and want. You don’t need to go into customer service or eateries, you could also do something for human or animal welfare. The scope is wide, I’ve explored the areas a lot over time.

I used to work in a production company, and whenever there was a protocol event with politicians, there were some strict rules like this. Once for a modi event we had to change our company uniform temporarily because it was black.

Well while this might be true in some sense, most if not all builders developing the real estate and selling are local goans, as are the restaurant owners and shak owners. So it’s not actually locals vs outsiders but it’s actually people who are making money of it vs people who are not but unfortunately we will get stuck in local vs outsider debate while both rich locals and rich outsiders profit.

I am having fun really with all the bad news surrounding Goa. Thanks to all the bravehearts volunteering the info. I hope this shakes up the current clown government to do something. They are too busy doing religious politics. Cm toh full shivaji maharaj mode.
