One more chance at equity then adios with no warning, nobody is going to care that you left a startup that undervalued you its not going to hurt your career or something, if anything you can still use the development success story going forward.

It would be one thing if you joined the startup and did like 2 hours of work a week and most of its talking or similar with no tangible results to show for it, its another if you build everything and do all the work to get things going on the tech side or on the business side.

That being said I will also flip it back at you real quick. I don't know how complex the software solution or infrastructure you built actually is but if you built it in 2 months that really makes me question that external valuation especially because its unlikely the business has any real traction at that point. Also if you can build it all that fast then no offense but you aren't the got king of coding, other people with reasonable experience could probably do the same without any equity for a fixed price.

There are social media clones of Facebook that you can buy for 50 bucks a copy for example and you could have someone on the outside say that something like that is worth a billion because look at Meta... But the software is worthless when you really get down to it without a successful business to make it worth something.

A lot to think about there, not saying you aren't being undervalued but also you have to look at the big picture too and take that valuation with a massive grain of salt.
