Design is very neutral that anyone can love even uncles who hate KTMs.
Brand name is good.
Build quality is top notch, not much complaints even from first iterations of bikes.
Service intervals are longer so it must not be very expensive to maintain.
40bhp offer similar performance to KTMs for those who don't like them.

Them treating customers equally (almost) whether you are there for a speed twin or speed 400. Products having no gimmicks which made pricing competitive to other bikes in same segment. They chose to work on basic things like attention to details and engine refinment (atleast in most used range 1k to 6k rpm) instead of working on tft display animation and ui. They knew what indian people look in an expensive/luxury bikes and thought of bringing those things to their small bikes.

P.S. these are my thoughts and these are the reasons i chose then over others.
