1. Are your parents high achieving individuals or wanted you to be high achieving without giving you much praises for your accomplishments but were liberal in reprimanding you when you failed?
2. Have you been given the idea that only smart high achieving people are worthy to date or you have seen the world like that all the time?
3. Does your parents share a same story like that? Supporting a partner in tough times and both growing together to be successful?
4. Usually kids raised in environments where they werent given much affirmations tend to grow to be out of sync, either they indulde in stuffs too much for validation or become empaths trying to listen to others and fix others.

When they fix such people it is a reward for them and feel like something in them will be fixed by the partner. Like " I scratch your back you scratch mine" deal.

But not everyone has the eq to communicate or demand this and end up being used and drained and this goes in loops.

case 1 extroverted kid out of sync: Parties too much, indulges in makeup , self decorations too much, gets into hookup culture and has high body count, and keeps going around used by men wanting to fill that void without even them knowing.

case 2 introverted kid out of sync: Timid, nice, well spoken, doesnt confront or like confrontations, has good kid name in the society, does know to express emotions or explore them, feels suppressed, leads dual life, becomes an empath and tries to fix others, in hopes to fix themselves.
