You’re already 26, very difficult to find someone for a romantic relationship at this age. Take a chill pill and avoid fighting with your boyfriend or you’re gonna be without a bf and without a fiancé lol.

Tbh being 26 doesn’t seem too old but trust me you’ll turn 30 in the blink of an eye and remaining single at 30 when all your friends are married is not a great feeling.
Also to be honest, if your parents have just started with the groom hunt they are being equally naive that they will find a suitable match and get you married in 6months-1 year. AM takes hell lot of time, to find someone who ticks all the boxes.
Also since you’re in a LDR, you won’t give two fucks to whomsoever your parents present to you, you just won’t consider that person.
If you have a good relationship, try being a little stubborn for once in your life and convince your parents to get you married to him. But yes, caste differences and economic conditions do play a role in the survival of a relationship. If his family is vastly different from yours you might have a hard time settling in with them.
Consider your boyfriend’s family, your relationship with him, whether you’re gonna live in a big city as a couple or with his family, if your bf is okay with your current and future earning potential, etc. If he seems like the one for you, don’t budge.
One of my friends recently got married to her LDR boyfriend after 3 years of trying to persuade her parents for marriage. She just had one condition - find someone who is better than him and I’ll get married. Since finding a match via AM is so difficult her parents had to give in and she got married and is now living with her then boyfriend now husband. Pretty romantic 🥰 but also mentally gruesome to go through so much to convince her parents.
So think about all of it and try not to panic. Move away from your parents if you can as it helps with easing the pressure.
Also, your parents ain’t your enemy, you’re all one team and they would only want what’s best for you. If you’re absolutely okay with your choice make them sit and explain your reasons rationally. No need to be dramatic about these things. Talk to them like a mature person, put your points forward, I’m sure they will understand.
