Why such cringe choices?
Why not something sensible like 'Indiana Jones-Temple of doom'
Spielberg+Amrish Puri was lethal
I would say there is a reason people like Naseeruddin Shah, Amrish Puri, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Irfan Khan, Tabu were chosen for numerous respectable Hollywood projects.
Because their sensibilities matched with global people.
In current India I don't see even a single A list star/composer except Tabu/AR Rahman pulling off any Hollywood role or music. -

How India can help check rise of Islamists in Bangladesh - Academia - The Jakarta Post
According to Shahab Enam Khan, professor of international relations at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh is witnessing a resurgence of Islamist groups following Sheikh Hasinaās departure on Aug. 5, which opened the door for previously banned outfits like Jamaat-e-Islami and Hizbut Tahrir to step back into the political arena. Anti-India sentiment, already simmering under the Awami Leagueās overtly pro-India policies, has intensified in response to foreign comments on Bangladeshās internal affairs and communal narratives by Indian political leaders. He argues that these remarks, coupled with incidents such as the alleged desecration of the Bangladeshi national flag in Tripura, have angered Dhaka, which views the ongoing propaganda as an unwarranted intrusion into its sovereignty.
While the new interim government under Muhammad Yunus struggles to restore democratic institutions and stabilize the economy, he says Bangladeshis expect India to play a constructive role in supporting this transition rather than fueling tensions. He notes that caretaker administration inherited a system deeply compromised by years of malgovernance and human rights issues, leaving it vulnerable to hardline factions eager to capitalize on nationalistic and anti-India rhetoric. In his view, a policy of genuine cooperation from New Delhiāfocusing on economic recovery, institutional rebuilding, and mutual respectāwould be far more effective in curbing Islamist extremism than pushing for a swift return of the Awami League or fixating on the rise of Islamic militancy.
