Fun fact, almost all vernacular langauges of India were historically known by their regional/caste based names (like Bangadu, Jaatu etc in Haryana)

Regional identities are newer than people realise, but their development is important for preserving local culture

As for Haryana, the name is pretty old. British Era documents call it the old name of the region at which Jind/Bhiwani is the centre (basically current Haryana minus GT Road/Nardak and parts of Southern Haryana)

funny thing is in the entire Sri guru Granth sahib there isn't a single word mentioning PUNJAB .....rather guru uses the word MADRA DESH

Anyways, DPS Patna is more expensive but I had friends from there, it seemed like a pretty good school to me. imo, DPS Patna > DAV BSEB but is more expensive. It has more opportunities, better infra and much more
