Hinduism dosent have ‘converts’ the way other religions do. In fact I regularly see even Sikhs in our temple for special occasions. The whole idea of Sanatana Dharma is we are all a part of it willingly or not. You have your own Dharma and Karmas and you can either learn how to best flow with them or continue to live in ignorance. Some might argue with me on this but each persons path is specific for them and some people in other faiths are properly following their own path by following them. To be a ‘Hindu’ which is already a problematic word just means you are following any number of the branches of Sanatana Dharma. Now the actual way of doing this is usually Yoga. If you are looking towards worship of an aspect of God then you are looking at starting Bkahti Yoga or the path of devotion. This you can do anywhere at anytime, but there are rules and rituals to get better results. As far as going to a Mandir is concerned. It is worth while but more so if it’s closer and you can go regularly.
