Sorry for your loss, OP. I believe you are asking about the shanti that is performed for the 10th-13th day after death.

I suppose you cremated your father at a crematorium/shmashaan. At the same place, they oftentimes have a shed for shanti pooja. The shmashaan will also have a temple for Lord Shiva. It is considered that Lord Shiva lives in the shmashaan as the [Shmashaan Adhipati](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmashana_Adhipati).

You can perform the shanti pooja there. They have everything setup for this. They even have an area where crows come regularly for the pind daan. The shmashaan also provides priests, basic food for the pind daan (dal, chawal, roti, etc.) so you don’t have to bring all that from home - they suggest bringing the deceased’s favorite dessert as a token prasad. They also have other items necessary for the pooja such as black sesame seeds, rice grains, haldi, kumkum, dhoop, etc.

We did the shanti pooja for my father at the Shivaji Park Hindu Crematorium. It’s just slightly southwest from the main park on the seafront. We don’t take anything besides the dessert for the shanti pooja. It was just one less thing to worry about. I don’t remember the dakshina/fees we paid to the priest though.
