I’ve lived in a nuclear family my whole life, with my parents and with help. I felt the saaame way for 25 years and whatever I knew about joint families was from films really, films we ridiculed. My husband has also lived with his dad and his dad’s partner his whole life.

We now live separately in our apartment sans parents. I would give my left arm to have my parents or his parents live with us. We are really bad at making financial decisions, we ghost the help because neither of us has the energy to dwi after our super hard corporate jobs, we once broke a window during a heated argument during battleships, there’s lots more. I think some adult support and supervision will take the pressure off us by a lot. I don’t care if we have to sing songs and stuff for it, we’ll do it.

Our parents have straight up refused to move in or to let us move in with them forcing us to “adult” after infantilising us our whole lives! Careful what you wish for is all I’ll say

Their writing style isn't good, so they'd have probably realised that the only way to grab attention and clicks is to make headlines like this.
