Nope. It is their business to big at the lowest price. They will simply turn around and raise the prices of equity to the same levels in some time. It is purely business.

Your doubt about why FIIs are selling. The increased bond yield, the slightly higher taxes, many poor results, higher valuations in India, lower valuation outside, are all adding up for them to pick up better deals. They still have a lot invested in India. This is just a small fraction they are taking away. FIIs come to India and participate in the market to make profits alone. They are fully entitled to sell and take their money elsewhere where business can be better for them. This option is not readily available to DIIs. But DIIs are nonetheless going to make a lot of money by buying now. Inflation and greed will both raise the tide and good stocks will go up like the past again. These prices will look like an opportunity in the hindsight.
