Wtf is up with idiots putting 'smart' watches on random shit?? It's one fucking sensor designed for 1 specific measurement. If the sensor detects changes in light similar to how it's programmed to it may give a reading.
Besides these drop shipped watches probably uses the cheapest of sensors. There may even be fakes that just give random values within the normal human range without any sensors being present.
