It's been official for like 2 months now. I've primarily switched to Firefox and occasionally use Chrome(for sites that don't work on Firefox) with ublock lite+privacy badger.

BRT is good, provided there is good public transport. In India it should not be in the middle lane. It should be at the side lanes.
And no need to waste money on fancy stops or barricades.
You need to make people follow rules.
Unfortunately none of these is possible in India. So it's better to scrap it.

My ex-hubby was exactly that. Constant surveillance. Hacked into my laptop. Would constantly check my phone. Had a problem my having any friends at all. Initially I thought it was just a problem with my having any male friends or socializing in mixed groups. But when I stopped that, as well - just to have some peace - he'd want to know if I was bi for hanging out with girls. Landed up at hotel room more than once, around my work conferences - to check if a man answered the door. Would call at all times of night when I was traveling on work to check if any man would answer the room phone. Would drop in at work without warning too, to check if I was where I said I was.

Eventually, I simply packed, took my 5 year old child with me and left. Filed for mutual consent divorce, after the required minimum period of separation - and got it. I could not take the misplaced complete mistrust anymore. I consider myself a person of high integrity - but he could never be convinced.

And before anyone asks, no I didn't take any money or assets or even ask for child maintenence. I made enough to have a good life for both. Never restricted him from meeting his son. Split the child's time in both homes so he had adequate time with both of us. I just didn't wish to be his wife anymore. But we worked out well enough as co-parents.

Toxic possessiveness is like a disease. Probably stems from insecurity, fear of abandonment, even fear of social humiliation. It doesn't come from a place of love or caring. It comes from a place of seeking complete ownership and control.

You can pity someone who is compulsively possessive...they torture themselves more than the ones they seek to own and control. But living them is impossible if you wish to be left with any dignity, self respect or even your own sense of identity. It's fairly high grade emotional abuse.

For more context, we'd dated for two years before marrying. His possessiveness felt "cute" then. I had dated others before we'd met. That was the prime cause of his insecurity....that he wasn't my first bf. But he'd known that from the first day we met, even before we dated - much before we married. But he could never look past my past. Though he always said it didn't matter at all till we actually married.
